Got questions?

Got questions?

We got answers.

(And dance moves … but we’ll save those for the event.)

Logistics

  • What the heck is Denver Dance Hall?

We’re a one-night-only singles event. Think of us as a dance party without the wedding. There’s a live band, awesome food, fun drinks, small surprises, and great company. Here’s the most important detail: We’re actually a good time.

  • How much are tickets, and what’s included?

Tickets are $35. That gets you one drink (alcoholic or otherwise), light hor’duerves, automatic raffle entries, a live band to which you can dance all night long, and a roomful of kickass strangers.

  • Are tickets refundable or transferable?

Nope, sorry. But we promise that this is an event you won’t want to miss!

  • What should I wear?

Whatever the heck you want! But if you knew that the love of your life would be here, wouldn’t you want to impress??

  • Is the event 21+?

Yep. The event is for singles of any sexual orientation between ages 25 - 40.

  • I’m not single, but I love this idea! Can I still participate?

We love that you love this! Denver Dance Hall is solely for singles, but, if you’re partnered, you can help your friends find love by sponsoring their ticket! Just go to our Eventbrite as though you’re buying the ticket for yourself, and check the box that you’re sponsoring a ticket for a pal.

  • Where is this?

Evans School, a newly renovated venue that’s right above Schoolyard Beer Garden (11th and Acoma).

Allow us a quick moment to gush: We’re the first event to be hosted here!

  • Is the venue accessible?

You betcha. There’s an elevator to take you upstairs to the venue, and ramps to get you on the dance floor.

  • Where do I buy a ticket?

Vibes

  • Is this a dating event, a dance party, or both?

Both, baby! Denver Dance Hall is a one-night-only dance party for single Denverites aged 25-40. You can yap, you can dance, you can sit, you can hang out in the photo booth – the night is yours. You’re highly encouraged to talk to strangers, and even more highly encouraged to ask those same strangers to dance with you.

  • Will there be structured activities or is it just free-flowing?

Convos will mostly be free-flowing. That said, we’re not going to leave you entirely to your own devices. We’ll have various opportunities to help you chat up different people.

  • Do I have to dance?

It’s your night, and you can spend it however you like. But if the idea of dancing with and talking to strangers terrifies you, your time might be better spent at another event.

  • Do I have to talk to people?

Yes. 😇 See our one rule. (Next)

  • What’s that one rule again?

If you’re coming, show up. That means: Play ball! Talk to the person who intimidates you. Make eye contact with a stranger. Ask someone to dance! Buy a drink for the cutie who’s number you’re after. You get the idea.

  • What kind of music will be played?

The same kind of music you’d hear at a wedding. We’ll have a live band (to be revealed closer to the event) who’ll be ripping covers, particularly from the 80s and 90s, all night long.

  • How are you keeping this safe? // How are you making this a safe space? // What happens if I feel uncomfortable?

Our hosts will be clearly marked and available if you need help. Bartenders and venue staff are also your friends – let any Evans School staff member know if you feel unsafe and the situation will be handled. Denver Dance Hall only works if everyone feels safe. We have zero tolerance for bad behavior.

Inclusivity

  • Who is this event for?

Denver Dance Hall is open to Denver singles of any gender and sexual orientation ages 25 - 40.

  • Can I come with friends?

The more, the merrier! Don’t forget that one rule, though: If you’re coming, show up. We know your friends are awesome, so share them with other people! Push yourself to talk to strangers and get any friends who come with you to do the same.

  • How do I signal who I’m interested in?

When you buy your ticket, choose the option that most closely aligns with how you identify. We’ll keep this info confidential; it’s just to help us keep track of numbers so that everyone in attendance feels like there’s someone here for them.

At the event, we’ll have totally optional opportunities for you to signal what type of person and/or relationship you’re interested in. Don’t stress: You won’t have to reveal anything about your orientation or preferences that you’d rather keep private.

  • How can I let my single friends know about this?

Send them the Eventbrite directly. Shoot over a link to our website. Have them RSVP on Partiful (though they’ll still have to buy a ticket on Eventbrite).

Extras

  • Will there be food and drinks?

Duh! Your ticket includes one drink (of the alcoholic or the non-alcoholic variety) and access to light food that’ll be available all night long. More drinks will be available for an additional cost, but we’ll have drink specials running to encourage you to buy a lil somethin’ for whomever you wind up meeting. If you’ve got a hankering for more food, there’ll be plenty of options at the restaurant located below the venue.

  • Is there a raffle, gifts, or giveaways?

Sure thing, there is. By purchasing a ticket, you’ll be automatically entered into our raffle, which will be ongoing throughout the night. We’ll be doling out gift cards to date night spots all around the city. If you win, we hope that you take someone you meet at DDH!

  • Will photos or videos be taken?

There will be! We’ll have a photographer on staff who will be taking photos throughout the night. By purchasing a ticket, you’re consenting to having your photo taken and used for future Evan’s School and Denver Dance Hall marketing.

There will also be a photo booth. But that, of course, is optional.

OK, final question. This all sounds … fantastic?

Where do I buy my ticket?
